English Standard Version (ESV)
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Sometimes on rough days or sleepless nights, morning seems as though it will never come. The Lord made it clear to me that my idea of “morning” i.e. the rising of the sun each day, is not His. I recognize now, that because Christ is sovereign and limitless, my “morning” can come boldly in the depth of night or during my darkest spiritual hour.
I’ve found myself praying for my spiritual “morning” in the middle of a day on some occasions. Believe me when I tell you, the Lord SHO-NUFF delivers in a way that only He can.
Luke 1:78-79 says,
78 Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, 79 Shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death,Then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace.
What part of the day do you cherish and are you grateful for the most? What makes this part of your day so special?
